🥀Prologue

Kashish Goenka, the ruthless CEO who had recently made Sanvi Mehta,  his wife, grabbed her wrist with an iron grip. He led her to a secluded corner, away from prying eyes and curious glances.

“What were you doing, Sanvi?” His voice was edged with a cold, hard anger.

“Why were you talking with your ex-fiancé?” Kashish demanded, his frustration palpable.

Sanvi remained silent, the weight of the situation settling heavily on her.

“For God’s sake, Sanvi, answer me!” Kashish growled, his voice rising ancausing her to flinch.

“Why should I?” Sanvi snapped back defiantly. “He was insulting me, not you.”

“You are my wife, damn it!” Kashish’s voice thundered, his anger boiling over.

“But I don’t want to be,” Sanvi retorted, her words igniting his fury further. His eyes darkened as he stepped dangerously close, pinning her against the wall with a threatening force.

“What did you say?” Kashish’s voice dropped to a dangerously low growl.

“Leave me, Mr. Goenka. L-leave me!” Sanvi’s voice trembled with fear.

“Like it or not, you are my wife, and you cannot think of any other man. Do you understand?” Kashish’s voice was laced with menace. His proximity was suffocating, and Sanvi’s breathing quickened, her eyes tightly shut as she pressed against the wall.

“Open your eyes and say it to me,” he demanded, his tone brooking no argument. “Do you understand? Say it, damn it!”

It was then that Kashish noticed the tears streaming down Sanvi’s face. His rage dissipated as quickly as it had ignited. The sight of her tears cut through his anger, and he realized that his aggressive actions had only served to deepen the chasm between them. He loosened his grip, but the damage had been done.

Sanvi, feeling his presence recede, opened her eyes.

“Sanvi , I—” he started, his voice softening into an apologetic tone.

“Don’t!” Sanvi cut him off sharply, her voice trembling with resolve. “Don’t you dare utter another word.” Her gaze was fierce, despite the tears that stained her cheeks.

She tried to leave, but the hook of her dress caught on the wall decoration, tearing the fabric as she struggled. The tear in her dress was a minor issue compared to the storm of emotions she was navigating. Ignoring her disheveled state , torn dress , she pushed forward, determined to escape.

“Sanvi, wait!” Kashish called after her, his desperation evident. He hastily removed his blazer and tried to cover her with it, but his gesture only fueled her anger.

Ignoring the curious stares of the party guests, Sanvi made her way out of the venue. Kashish followed, but Sanvi was determined and faster, leaving him behind in her wake.
